Services
Oak & Ivy provides bespoke academic and executive function coaching for students across both secondary and post-secondary education, with specialised support for Year 11 students through our GCSE Success Programme.
We help students develop the skills that underpin long-term success, including planning, organisation, time management, focus, and emotional regulation. Through personalised coaching and structured support, students build strong habits, increase independence, and learn how to manage academic demands with clarity and confidence.
Secondary Coaching
Our Secondary Coaching supports students (aged 13-18) in building the executive functioning skills needed to manage the increasing demands of school with confidence and independence. We work with students on organisation, planning, time management, task initiation, study habits, and emotional regulation, helping them develop consistent routines and practical systems that make school feel more manageable.
Coaching is highly personalised and delivered through weekly or twice-weekly sessions, depending on the level of support required. Sessions focus on both immediate academic demands and long-term skill development, including planning upcoming work, breaking down assignments, preparing for assessments, and building sustainable study habits.
To ensure alignment and visibility, parents receive brief weekly updates along with a more detailed monthly progress report outlining key areas of focus, progress, and next steps. As expectations increase, our coaching ensures students are not only keeping up, but developing the skills and confidence to take ownership of their learning.
Post-Secondary Coaching
Our Post-Secondary Coaching supports students in navigating the increased independence and academic demands of university and college life. We focus on strengthening executive functioning skills such as planning, organisation, time management, follow-through, and self-regulation, helping students build effective systems to manage coursework, deadlines, and competing responsibilities.
Coaching is highly personalised and delivered through weekly or twice-weekly sessions, depending on the level of support needed. Sessions combine real-time academic planning with longer-term skill development, supporting students in structuring their workload, managing larger assignments, maintaining routines, and building consistency and accountability.
For post-secondary students, parent updates and progress reports can be included where appropriate, but are always handled thoughtfully and on an individual basis to support the student’s independence and autonomy.
GCSE Success Programme (Year 11)
Our GCSE Success Programme is designed to support Year 11 students not just academically, but in building the habits and skills that lead to real, lasting success. We focus on executive functioning—planning, organisation, time management, study routines, and managing stress—while also providing targeted GCSE exam preparation, including test-taking strategies and identifying key areas for focus.
What makes this 30-week programme special is the balance of personalised support and connection. Students take part in engaging, interactive sessions led by a highly experienced and dynamic instructor, where they don’t just learn strategies—they actively practice them, share experiences, and support one another. Over time, this builds a strong sense of camaraderie and a community of students working toward similar goals.
Each week, students alternate between:
-
1:1 virtual coaching sessions (45 minutes)
-
Small-group cohort sessions (60 minutes)
This model provides both individualised guidance and peer accountability, ensuring students are supported academically while also developing independence.
Fall/Winter Retreats
The programme is anchored by two in-person retreat experiences in London:
-
September: Foundations & Onboarding
-
January: Reset, Resilience & Confidence
These in-person retreats offer students the opportunity to build friendships, strengthen key skills, and work together in a supportive, motivating environment.
Programme Focus
Across the year, students progress through three key phases:
-
Autumn Term: Building routines, organisation, study habits, and reducing overwhelm
-
Spring Term: Developing revision strategies, accountability, and consistency
-
Summer Term: Exam preparation, performance under pressure, and maintaining wellbeing
Term-Time Schedule (2026–2027)

Parent Coaching and Support
Our Parent Coaching is designed to support parents in navigating the challenges that can arise as children move through school and into more independent stages of education. We provide guidance on how to support executive functioning development, manage academic and emotional challenges, and advocate effectively within school or university environments.
Sessions are led by one of our experienced parent coaches with decades of professional experience working with children, alongside their own lived experience as a parent. Coaching focuses on practical strategies, clear communication, and helping parents feel confident in how they support their child both at home and within the wider educational system.
