Session 2: Mindful Parenting — Regulating Yourself First
In this powerful second session, we shift the focus to you. Teens take their emotional cues from the adults around them, so when parents learn to regulate themselves, the entire dynamic changes. We’ll explore how you can become the emotional “thermostat” in your home, noticing your own triggers, interrupting reactive patterns and moving from control to connection.
You’ll learn why calm parents lead to calmer teens (co-regulation in action), how to identify the stories you tell yourself in heated moments, and how to practice everyday mindfulness without adding more to your plate.
Participants will leave with practical, easy-to-use tools.
