About the Course

Mindfulness is paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, without judgment. By maintaining awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surroundings, we can manage distressing emotions, improve mental clarity, and create positive change. Through consistent practice, we learn to pause and choose our reactions rather than respond habitually.

This course gives parents tools to build their own mindfulness practice—an essential foundation for mindful parenting. Research shows mindful parenting improves well-being for both parents and children. It involves listening with full attention, accepting feelings non-judgmentally, and staying calm under stress. Parents who practice mindfulness report greater satisfaction with their parenting and relationships, and their children show better social skills. Mindfulness also strengthens marriages, increasing satisfaction, optimism, and closeness between partners.
